Really pretty huh! China is beginning to make a name for itself, other than having citizens who spit in the streets... Don't think this will make much of a difference in how singaporeans see PRCs though, that'll need a real change.

Lee Jiawei carrying the national flag with less pride than the average olympic flagbearer shows. It's dragging on the floor.... According to the fuming blogger dude who posted this, some of the other flagbearers had their flags dragging on the floor as well, but at least those flagbearers showed real enthusiasm.
But does the fuming blogger have a real point there or is it just his personal prejudice coz she's not a true blue singaporean?
I didn't watch the opening ceremony so i can't really comment on the average enthusiasm of the flagbearers, but personally I don't have a good impression of lee jiawei after the ronald susilo saga. She struck me as a bit of a moneygrubber, with friends quoting her as saying "The relationship wasn't going to last anyway"...

Yes, other countries also had flagbearers who let their flag "touched" the ground.
I can't say much on their 'enthusiasm' because China's Cameramen are not focusing closer to the flagbearers, but I myself, an ASEAN-Filipino (and proud of it) found it disrespectful to let any flag especially a "National" Flag to touched the ground - be it a foreign soil or your own soil.
